Bluebeam Revu - Stamps

Stamps are an important part of many workflows, so to make creating and editing stamps easier than ever Revu 10 includes the capability to use PDF stamps. To create a custom stamp, just follow these steps.

so with the introduction of review 10
stamps have been significantly modified
number-one stamps fundamentally now are
based on PDF so before review 10 there
was a special format that blue being
paid created to create and save stamps
now you can import a stamp and you can
choose any PDF file as the basis for
creation of a stamp and another thing
that's new to stamps is now before
review you had to go if you wanted to
modify a stamp you had to run a
standalone program that we wrote the
stamp editor for doing any modifications
now if you want to modify a stamp you
can select the icon right next to the
name of the stamp here and when you do
notice that we're actually still in
review and reviews opened up in a in a
special stamp edit mode you can see that
here i'm looking at the approved to
stamp and there's a little stamp
indicator icon there that shows me that
I'm i'm actually working on a stamp the
stamp is shown here it shows the the
size of the stamp in inches and it this
is displayed on a standard eight and a
half by 11 page so i get some sort of a
relative indicator of the size of the
stamp now to go modify this it's really
easy to do so if i want that stamp to be
a little larger and distract the
rectangle larger and i can add whatever
additional elements i want to hear so
say I wanted to put a date and time on
this approved stamp i go to my text box
here and now as i drag a text box you'll
see this special little drop-down up
here this this is a little helper that
helps me put in the dynamic text that
gets recognized by stamps so say I want
to put the date and put a couple spaces
and have the time go in
no now i put in that that text in the
special format that review knows how to
read the date and time in when i place a
stamp and because i'm in review all of
the different formatting options and
editing options are available so i can
control
all the the size the the color heck even
the fill color that I want of that
particular stamp so say I wanted that to
you know have a little bit of a takeover
view their ini can take any sort of
element that I want so even things such
as if I put a line in now and choose the
new custom line styles that I have I can
you know take that now that here and so
now I have you know have a highly
customized stamp and now I can go save
this as well go call and approve
modified their so now when I save this
save that file and now my stamp
drop-down there's my approve modified
PDF and once I've selected that i can
place that right in the drawing and of
course i can go in and and resize and
adjust that that stamp but the idea is
that it's very easy to edit right within
review now without me having to jump out
to that outside editor and one last
thing I'll mention too is that with the
introduction of review 10 we now listen
to in any JavaScript that is included in
the PDF file so there are a number of
pre-existing PDF stamps that have check
boxes and other things that are embedded
in the PDF or in the in the the text amp
and so now we can read those so that
that functionality will be part of the
functionality of review as you're adding
those advanced stamps in the in a PDF so
real quick run through of some of the
enhanced stamp functionality for review
