Printing Labels and Envelopes in Mac Address Book

did you know that you can use address
book to create mailing labels and
envelopes without using third-party
software for example if I want to create
a mailing list for my Christmas letters
i can click on this plus sign down here
and i'll type christmas list then I'll
go back to all my name's and I'll search
for the names that I want to include on
my list
here's a neat trick if you have a list
of names you can click on the first one
hold the shift key down and click on the
last one to select all the names on the
list then i'll pick one up and drag it
to Christmas list then I can do the same
thing again for more names
click on the first one shift click the
last one drag it to the christmas list
now my Christmas list has all of these
names to do the print i'll click on
Christmas list and i'll go up to file
and choose print in the dialog box that
comes up first i'll make sure that it
says mailing labels right here then I'll
go to the Layout tab and here's where i
can choose what kind of labels i want i
can use avery labels i can even create
my own layouts on this list right here
you can look at your box of avery labels
and find out what kind of labels you
have and pick them off of there then I
can go to this label button right here
and i can choose either all the labels i
can confirm that i want the navels on my
Christmas list
I can also choose what order they print
I can have them print in order by zip
code or in alphabetical order
I can also include if I wanted the
company name or a country name i can
click on color to change the color i can
also click on this set right here to
change the font then when i click print
it will print the labels if I wanted
instead to do envelopes i can drop down
this style box right here and choose
envelopes
I'll start again with the layout button
here's my official number ten label but
you can find any kind of label size that
you would like on this label button
right here i can tell it to print my
return address or not and i can choose
between home addresses and work
addresses i can select which addresses
and again I'll choose my Christmas list
and again i can choose alphabetical
order or zip code order and all the same
choices from before your printer is
going to want your envelopes fed through
the front manual printer manual drawer
you may want to choose orientation and
decide if it's going to go portrait or
landscape according to what your printer
requires then once I've made those
choices I would again choose print a
last print option that you have is a
list if i go back two styles and then
lists i can now make printouts so i can
keep it on the phone or in my day
planner i can choose which orientation I
want and I can also select which field
show up in my list so that I can have it
includes everything that I would like it
to have and then again
