The mts original file was 1920 x1080 50p at 28Mbps bitrate .It was converted to xvid using Alive HD Video Converter , in the same format but at only 10 Mbps bitrate . And of course 25 fps . Then loaded in Virtual Dub set for xvid compression at unrestricted profile @ level - and edited . That means , cut the final part wich was somewhat jerky and added the fade out filter for the last 2 seconds . The sound was faded -out separately and re-added to the video stream , also in Virtual Dub .These were the tools I had and this is the final result . Good ? Bad ? Anyway - uploadable . The upload format was xvid .

As to the mts file I found a good player for it . Good and free : GOM Player .
