Add-Ins File & Folder Structure

A brief description of the default location of Excel Add-Ins. I also cover how to remove Add-Ins within Excel and delete them for the Add-Ins folder.

in this lesson will be going over at INS
file and folder structure and go over
where these Adam files are stored on
your local directory so go ahead and get
started to go into your Windows Explorer
and right now I'm in libraries but let's
go to see users and then click on your
username and as you can see here I have
a folder called at data to get to that
as well there you have to proceed
through here but you may not this folder
visible at the moment and maybe it and
I'll show you what that looks like you
don't control panel folder options and
right here
here you can see that mine says show
hidden files folders and drives you may
have it looking like this show you one
second here click here don't show hidden
files folders folders and drives and
click Apply you'll notice right here
that is going to disappear now yours may
look like this because that folder is
head doesn't mean that you can access it
and the address
name type the following / just press
Enter
and as you can see you can still access
the folder double-click on roaming look
for Microsoft
here items and as you can see here's a
time that we had created earlier another
way of getting to here is simply let's
say I wasn't I wasn't here at the moment
was the desktop and I wanted to get
there just copy and paste that
and if you're copying and pasting the
text in the lesson it'll look like this

and you can access your addons folder
that way if you want to for easier
access in the future you can create a
shortcut to this folder so click go go
back one folder to Microsoft then right
click on a dense and go to send to
desktop click on that and then minimize
all this and
is created and then cheer and close this
and any time you want to quickly access
your addons folder just double click
that and you can get your items now that
you know the deferral of gays
files we're gonna go ahead and go over
how to delete and add so you could just
go and hair and just delete this but the
preferred method is to go ahead and open
your Excel up
and as you can see we still have the
button from a previous lessons let's go
ahead and get rid of that this man you
down and click on more commands select
the button for the macro and click
remote then click OK
it's gone from our Quick Access Toolbar
and we have to do one more thing and
Excel and thats go to the Developer tab
click on a dense and deselect your file
click OK
now will go ahead and close Excel
cutbacks your folder where that is
stored right click and delete
and actually not gonna delete it I'm
just gonna cut it from here and put on
my desktop and you can do the same just
want to get rid of it and as you can see
it's gone from the folder so close that
open Excel again
to the Developer tab click Add is and as
you can see our ad and is not listed
here
here and we can go ahead and closest now
in order to taste and added into our
items folder you can simply double-click
care and I'll just drag and drop the
center based in here and then close that
open Excel
over a tense and as you can see
in this right here so just select bad
and click OK at this point you can just
go through the steps in the previous
lesson to get your butt and I can the
