How to use a SOCKS proxy

This video will show you how to use a SOCKS proxy using Socks Proxy Checker, a Proxy list website and a site to check if everything is working.

in this tutorial I'm going to show you
how to change your IP address using a
program called socks proxy checker first
step is to go ahead and get the software
so we're going to go to socks proxy
checker com download the software and
install it which I've already done so
let's go ahead and open the program the
first thing that we're going to see is
that you have no proxies to use so what
we're going to do is get a fresh proxy
list
we're going to go to this website here
it's called Sox 24 . org and as you can
see that on today's date
well actually it's a day ahead what we
see here that we have socks
proxy lists and we're just going to go
ahead and select all these we're gonna
hit ctrl-c to copy go back to the
program and hit ctrl be to paste now you
can see that we have a hundred and
twenty-two proxies in our list so the
first step here checking these proxies
is we right click and hit verify all
proxies let this run for a second really
need a couple we have enough here for
for the video purposes I'm going to go
ahead and hit stop
so what I remove all the bad things out
of here so we're going to right-click
we're gonna hit delete duplicate proxies
right click delete timed out proxies
right click and delete dangerous proxies
and after we've done that we're going to
sort it by delaying because i want a
fast proxy I don't want to be lagging so
now I have this proxy here before I go
ahead and activate it
I'm going to install the plugin for
firefox we do this by hitting switch add
firefox proxy support
it's going to go ahead and install this
add-on we're going to restart Firefox
you'll see down here in the bottom
right-hand corner says direct connection
this means that we are currently not
using any proxy so we're going to go
ahead and select this one here i'm just
going to double-click on to it and
you'll see that has changed this in the
bottom right-hand corner and it says
active socks proxy is now this so to
verify that everything is working
correctly
we're going to go to this website it's
called checker . samir not are you and
when you go to this website you'll see
that it has now I IP detected is the one
that i selected and it says hi anonymous
elite proxy this means that we are now
browsing anonymously and r.i.p has
successfully been masked now I also want
to check and make sure that this IP is
from the United States so we're going to
do is I'm going to click this button
next the country that says click here to
find out what your country your proxy
belongs to
and we can see that it says United
States so this means that i have an
anonymous proxy from the united states
that is now masking my IP now in order
to change my IP also have to do is go
back into the program
double-click on a new proxy you'll see
that all the settings of change and I
hit refresh and you'll see that i have a
new IP address now and what I would
suggest doing is every time that you do
this run this program called see
ccleaner and the reason I say to do that
is it removes all of your history you
know temporary files etc very useful
tools when used together i hope this
