In this video i am going to demonstrate
how to remove a watermark from a video
with Adobe After Effects in a few simple
steps not perfectly but it will do the trick.
In the left upper corner you can see a watermark
burned into this kitty cat footage, lovely lion though!
Import your footage into After Effects
and create a new comp
again on the left top corner you see the
watermark that will be history for ever.
Duplicate the layer.
With the copied layer selected go to Layer
Channel and select invert.
You need a clean sample, a sample
with a black background is perfect!
Right click on the duplicated layer and
choose Time, Freeze frame.
Set the layer mode to color burn.
Voila! The watermark is vanished.
ps: If you don't have a clean sample you have to
create one with Photoshop.
That means try to create exact same watermark
like in your footage, instead of white
make it black with an opacity of 50% on a white background.
