How to fix your slow Windows XP

this is a guide to show you some of the
things that you can do to improve the
performance of your windows XP machine
now when we get to the Windows desktop
and most people just gonna go on the

what we want to do is get a google it
connecting

so what we can do it's a bit of a
slash-and-burn procedure
click on the start menu and get a run
and type in ms config and press enter
click on the startup tab on one tick
everything apart from CTF mom
everything else can be on tape if you
want tix etf mommy little just started
back in again when you restart windows
so just leave Leave leave that single
process tick
click OK you'll say that you need to
restart
so go ahead and restart now if you do it
together in that list but bear in mind
that was quite a short list but we find
that on your machine that the list is so
large that will be a scroll bar down the
side of it but when you do we start the
machine machine will come back up to the
desktop and there will be no antivirus
software running on your machine
now in my opinion antivirus software is
just a big gun anyway the important
thing to do on your Windows machine is
to keep it updated with updates from
Microsoft
if you keep it updated and patched
regularly and you're very careful about
what you do on the internet or more
emails you open
I think you can operate windows safely
without an antivirus software install
the system config utility is going to
say that you've got selective startup
you know enable so just typical taking
that box and click OK
if I try to go on the internet now you
can see that it's noticeably faster and
noticeably faster but we don't have
anything going now
I had it set to automatically run
programs like skype and miss chattin
race of the things but if you just want
to switch machine on and go to Google or
whatever that's I mean it's fine as is
if you then want to run skype you can
just click on the skype icon to to
launch it and if you really want some
programs to launch when you start

again and I msconfig and just pick the
ones that you know you want to run
something else you can do to improve
performance if you right click on the my
computer icon get out properties click
on them
advanced and click on the settings for
your performance here click on them
I just for best performance and click OK
what that does that removes all the
fancy windows decoration makes it less
colorful but it makes it performed makes
it perform a little bit better
you can see now this is going to create
a and start menu's gray but because
windows is not having to render the
colors and styles for the window
decoration
it makes you know it faster and one
thing you might want to consider is so
and using an alternative web browser
instead of using them
internet explorer and try google chrome

lot more room
