Cloning your hard drive to a new larger empty hard drive (pt. 1)

This is the easiest way to transfer all your stuff from your old internal hard drive to your new bigger internal hard drive.

everyone last time i made a video and it
didn't turn out well so i'm making new
ones gonna I'm gonna do it
the reason why didn't turn out well
because the audio was bad and yeah i'm
going to show you guys how to do
something I asked before and I figured
out so my last video i made was me
asking people how do you transfer all
the old stuff in your old hard drive
everything from it
21 new larger internal hard drive so
what you do is it's pretty easy and I
figured out as you can see my last video
showed that my hard drive only had 45
gigs it wasn't big and I was really
upset with it so i'm going to show you
guys how to do it and all you need of
course is computer inside the computers
your old hard drive the one you want to
copy from and next you need and the new
hard drive and hard drive enclosure what
a hard drive enclosure is it makes your
internal hard drive a tool basically an
external one be popping your internal
one which in this case you pop your new
one in your new larger one inside in
enclosure and you close it you connect
the USB or sad or any other thing
usually it's USB and it basically acts
as a external hard drive right and the
1i have is called a rocketfish 2.5 inch
because it's a laptop internal enclosure
SATA it's a internal SATA enclosure it
doesn't use dige if your computer runs
eid suggest you find any ide enclosures
well in this case I use a settlement and
you need this program acronis migrate
easy
ok this program isn't free but it is for
15 days and it's enough days for you to
finish what you're my videos intention
to do what I'm telling you guys to do if
you guys need to transfer all your old
stuff you know blah blah but i suggest
to buying it I just suggest you get the
free version for like 15 days because
it's pretty straightforward
I don't think it's going to take you 15
days to do this but i'm gonna click on

haven't deleted yeah well i'm gonna show
you guys how to do it so depressed right

this is really important step and

so what you need now is a add a new disc
and this clone ok so when you connected
your hard drive enclosure with your new
hard drive inside the enclosure you want
to press add new disc this will format
your hard disk and basically the format
your computer so you can use it later
and what you do
welcome to add news Hardware blah and
next is pressed next I don't have
anything really important you know
connected to my computer right now I
don't have my hard drive enclosure
connected what I do have is my uh my 250
gig external hard drive which I don't
want to format so what you do is just
press next and we do you want to leave
partitions in this case when it does for
you when you click your the new hard
drive you want to format you you do want
to press Delete well another something
in there or just easily format it but
since I don't want to leave everything
on five external hard drive without my
music and movies and why you know my
family videos so i'm not going to
believe it and we personally especially
press next and after that it's going to
ask you do you want this to be a logical
drive or if you want for to boot from
the strap
ok this is really important you want to
boot from it so i hope you guys listen
to me you don't want to be a logical
truck since you want this to be in brand
new harddrive you want to boot from it
so personally next move from this hard
drive so I'm just going to cancel this
section out since when it's done
formatting I think it will reboot your
computer but who knows if it does it
doesn't really matter to start up again
and you want to go to this clone and in
this clone when your new hard drive is
done formatting is still connected in
the hard drive enclosure
and you and you price next basically
it's going to analyze computer for all
the hard drives and it's good to check
my external hard drive of course my 250
gig and what you want to do is automatic
not really important and it will it's
pretty basic is that's good thing so
basic select the source from the old
this so just basically choose the cut
the hard drive you want to copy from so
let's say this is my old hard drive
which it is basically a select it and
press next the next one select the
destination
what do you want to copy it to so let's
say I want to come into my heart
external hard drive do you want to leave
everything at all just you can press
know if you want most likely just press
delete and yeah that's basically it
and after its done cranking grinding it
will reboot your computer and you 20-30
minutes later you find out that all your
old stuff the old hard drive has been
copied to your new bigger hard drive
which is great
now all you have to do is shut off your
computer take your power source out your
battery out in just my regular make
regular standard procedures for doing
this then you unscrew your hard drive
our then you take the little top out
there now is kind of hard to tell you
guys but this is pretty simple you take
care of the new hard drive from your
hard drive enclosure and you take it out
and you pop it into your computer so
there you go you have a new hard drive
and is larger and it has everything in
it that you want from your old hard
drive as every single thing
everything is copy and that's basically
it sorry if my description and why
talking this little off and raw
confusing what I hope I made a point so
this is just for all you guys who need
help and not migrating your old hard
drive to your new one if you need any
