hello this is me alex and Japanese part
and you're watching this video because
you are subscribed to my newsletter deal
with it people and anyway we're here in
Yoyogi Park its spring the Sakura is out
and you know what that means getting
drunk on big blue sheets of plastic and
long fuse for the bathroom and today
we're doing up Hannah me what does
hannah mean Ben will just have to mean
enemy literally means flower look flower
look so it's a incredibly old tradition
that dates back to the Heian period is
that we're basically people have parties
drinking parties underneath the cherry
blossoms it's really amazing as a newly
and people here today it's going to be
like this for the next couple of days
maybe even on Monday anyway the reason
I'm making this video for these videos
is to just say hello and say thank you
for subscribing to my newsletter and
also to answer your questions about
studying Japanese and to give you some
tips and tricks on how to improve your
fluency and if you want to ask me a
question just send an email to info @
learn japanese blog.com and the first
email and gonna answer is from Josh in
New York who says i have been studying
Japanese for one year but can you
recommend some good conversation
starters
that's a really really good question so
my number one top tip for conversation
starter is been talking about the
weather the weather
whether or not you want to talk i'm
sorry that was a terrible joke but
anyway so basically it's super super
simple wherever you go in japan so you
go hiking and you randomly bump into
someone you can just start talking about
the weather and basically that the best
easiest phrase is sure what that's BS
net sure what through this net and then
in reply you might say orders not so
this net so killer absolutely it's
really easy your means today what is an
untranslatable particle the point of the
subject of the sentence
don't worry about that it's something
like as for socal that as for today at
the e at the hot bestnet test means is
mr and that means something like isn't
it so today's hot isn't it cool and
through this now orders night and then
you say so this name which means yeah
that's right
so learn japanese pod method is
basically drilling like a standard
grammatical structure again and again
using different vocabulary so you can
learn new words and you can build some
fluency so let's do that so cute
absolutely that's now how would you say
it's cold
some readers somewhere so cure some weed
and snatched so that's not so that's now
how you say today is cooled you know
that one else's shooters
yeah that's yeah your sushi that snap
saw this now
oh yeah humid would be machine at sea
snake killer machine at see this
membership means team had three means
hot so hot so steam hot you are the
sweetest met met-art so today's humid
what else are you
Oh another 1i here sometimes is pure
naka naka you just may Allah not go not
the destination that cannot be something
like kind of considerably considerably
somewhat eid simply just means
good-for-nothing EDS now we're just not
destined air so i put like old guys
hiking up in the mountain saying that
all probably one of the most common is e
pinky that's not be thank you thats nap
so that's not so this net so that's it
super super simple you really really
don't need that much disorder
conversation in Japanese it just use
really really simple phrases so try that
I've got a question
hi what's the difference between three
deaths and read that snare so adding a
ra how does that change the
construction right yet so don't you just
have my brother said what students do
not see that's an absolute that snaps
absolute this just means it's hot it's
like a statement if you put net on the
end that's the way that snare it turns
it more into a rhetorical question
always inviting and launched its
inviting announce such as what's a good
conversation starter exactly because
you'll get a response if you add me on
and you'll get a performance
exactly exactly a good point the point
sticking alien invites and answer and it
gets the conversation going
seriously in my experience of being in
japan for way too many years are talking
about the note of talking about the
weather is that the number one topic of
discussion so are pleased our check out
the show notes below just click on this
little PDF thing here and if you have
any questions about studying Japanese
life in Japan or anything just send me
an email at info out learn japanese porn
quick burn say hello to everyone
hello everyone that's been so that's now
orders no actually sorry now actually
little actually the water temperature
today is pretty cold here spit solution
its associates take your position is now
for tonight
japanese pop concert minima email info
out in Japanese prom
see you later have a good one
