Make interactive Word documents by Embedding Youtube

Updated videos now appear at twictnet channel or www.youtube.com/user/twictnet

How to embed a Youtube video into a Word document. Use the developer tab, and insert a shockwave flash object. Then set the properties to point to your desired Youtube video location.

to place a youtube video with in a word
document we have to make a couple of
little changes to word first of all
we're going to need an extra tall along
the top here so we're going to go to
word options and took the Developer tab
and click OK you now have an extra tabs
across the top click developer in the
developer area we have a small folder
called legacy talks click on that and
then there's a separate more controls
area that looks very similar it's got
little nail and hammer on it which we
want to also click on this will bring up
a menu
we're going to scroll down to the s area
and find shockwave flash object
double-click on that or 1-click and then
okay we'll put a nice little box in side
your word document i'm just going to
stretch that one out a little bit so
it's more like the shape before by three
video and it's looking really good you
can position it on your page as well
next I need to right-click on my
shockwave box and click on properties
within the properties menu i'm just
going to make it a little bit bigger and
most of these values we can leave as is
I we're not going to explain because
it'll take too long but we do need to
using this movie value here click in the
box after movie and in that we're going
to insert the address for a youtube
video going to open up my youtube here
I've got one already
the address is here right click on that
and copy it if there's anything longer
there
for example something that starts with
an m / send then you'll need to remove
that will come in here and we paste the
value in here we've got to make two
little changes we're going to click at
the end of this ? and delete everything
where it is watch ?
just leaves the v go to the other side
of the V and insert a slash and delete
the eCourse as i said if you've got
something longer hear that begins with
the m % Mac delete everything that
begins with m % you should just have a
value that looks very much like that
then click on close you'll notice that
this has lifted with just a square box
it looks like it hasn't worked has
actually worked out what you're going to
have to do now is to save this going to
save it
it's called embedding a YouTube video
for me at the moment is going into my
documents library that's fine i click on
save and believe it or not that is
actually really to use i click close
it comes back in and there's my youtube
video ready to play double click and it
begins to play for me
and that's how you insert a video
