Hey guys! Today, I'll be showing you how to use an armor stand to execute at a block that can store data to create a trash can. Enjoy!

hello everyone this is sure me and
welcome to an educational video I'm
going to show you how to make a trashcan
using command blocks
this video's ultimately showing you how
to use an armor stand to take the block
but to demonstrate it i'm going to be
using a trash can
I'm going to be
making this contraption as I go and
seeing as how it's just walking out this
is probably going to be a little
interesting but I also want to get you
guys to know what goes on in the mind of
a command block engineer so I guess we
should just get started then
I think I'm going to need one command
block for scoreboard
so let's do school board objectives
add you know I don't even think we need
that
so let's just do this
execute all detect negative 24
are a chest and
if you do negative 1 that's just makes
it so it doesn't matter what direction
is facing what what data tag has it's
just going to the tech for chest
so after that we're going to do is I'm
going to execute at the nearest player
which is just yourself if you are if you
do have a chest to block below you is
just going to text at you and only you
so now we're going to detect one block
below us and we're going to see if
that's a red cell block
um then what we're going to do is think
summon and I am frame
what is it two blocks with us where the
chest is to custom name
p h4 placeholder and then we're going to
control middle click so we can have the
same data those in this bottom command
block here and we're just going to alter
it a little bit so
I do now is we're going to set block the
block below us to air so that hopefully
it doesn't i keep something
item grapes because that could be a
problem

the thing is this abled slots and the
number you want to put in to make it to
where no one can interact with the
armorstand that all is 2039 583
so just for future reference
alright so after that I guess we can
make it small too just because why not

execute because if you want this to be a
multi-player friendly you get to make
the command a little bit longer that's

execute a type equals armorstand name
equals TC Hill
e type equals item frame name equals ph
c equals one and that's gonna make it to
where it kills the nearest item frame
name ph which is obviously going to be
the one that someone's in the understand
the first place
alright so now let's see if this all
works if it does and i'll type in a SE e
it should only say me and TC for trash
can

need to do to make this work

if you're wondering how i found that out
I remembered an old trick simply Sark
mentioned in one of his videos where you
put down a block that can hold data or
an entity and then let's just put a
command block on top of that and then
type in block data on below this command
block and then just leave that curly
brackets empty and then you just power
and then wherever it says so small
whatever it says items you just going to
want to copy that
where the the square bracket ends
that's where you're going to want a copy
- so you're going to put curly bracket
items
: square brackets and then
and with the curly bracket if that makes
sense
so yeah that's how i found that out
let's just dump all this instance we
don't need it anymore that's cool and
all right so that's pretty much it how
know it is it you silly boy
you have to forgive my past self it can
be a bit of a dummy sometimes you're
going to
more command like if you want to get rid
of that armor stand if you want to get
rid of that trash can
so execute my e-type wait
yeah yeah type B calls armorstand name
equals T C then we're going to detect at
him to see if the chest is there if it
to see the chest is not there
so if it's not there then obviously it's
going to be there
oops zero and then we're going to to
kill at e type equals armorstand name
equals T C R equals 0
so it's going to kill if
the TCR send the text air in its place
instead of a chest
it's going to kill itself very much but
the all understand that the radius of 0
which is most likely going to be itself
and this is just so in case you wanted
to place an item where that chest wasn't
it
it will let you for some reason that's
because there's still that I understand
this so this is how we kill it right
so I
let's say at e so you'll see TC is still
there when I break this chess do it
again
it's just me now so that's how you get
rid of the trash can completely
all right back in the video I told you
if you command block submits a few come
and accept it all takes to make a trash
can and i'm pretty sure it's multiplayer
compatible
I have no way of testing that but i'm
pretty sure it works if not let me know
and i'll see what i can do to improve
that
but for now this is shown me signing out
