How to Configure Your Data Backup Jobs with GoodSync

In this video I show you how to create data backup jobs in Goodsync to keep your data safe from disk failure. You will also learn how to create multiple jobs for various backup needs on your system.

in this video we're going to show you
how to use the could sync software how
to configure
mixing software for your data backup
system
so we want to have course load a good

your C Drive and the backup drive

I labeled my backup drive

wanna attached to my PC when I will do

and then I just want to back up a couple
files just to show you
how this system works so what we're
doing is we're going to back up
the outlook archive folder but this
won't take long at all to back up so
click on
outlook archive and that's what we need
to do on this site if we wanted to
adding crypts in let's say we were
doing maybe an FTP across day I a
network or something like that or maybe
we just wanted to encrypt the data
because I was going onto an external
hard drive that of course
could get stolen then we would do an
encryption
algorithm that we wanted to use okay
we're not going to do that in my case
now we're just gonna leave it like it is
and I'm gonna click on okay now any to
go to the other side
and browse to the place where we want to
back nurse
a folder up to screen click on browse
again
and we want to back this up to warehouse
but
are backup drive or external backup
drive if you will
as you can see there are several
applications on her already
I believe actually may have even an
Outlook folder a parody and I do
so I'm gonna take the outlook archive
here
and I'm gonna back it up to this
location here called outlook

since this is a removable external hard
drive it's going to tell me
that it wants to reference this
differently

because if you unplug an external hard

into a different USB port

create multiple job so let's say that
was just one folder that I wanted to
back up

repeat the process

would do
new the new job is going to be

folder

format

on this drive to back up this folder

over

synchronizing these files
well we are watching this
synchronization take place couple things
to point out to you
you can see in real-time her that the
files are synchronizing
and also it's going to tell you down
here on the right hand side
the amount of time remaining: the speed
at which these files are being
transferred
and then the a elapsed time right
minutes 16 has elapsed and there's
10 minutes 53 seconds left it also gives
additional a bar graph
as a chart on what's going on
then you have this log 10 down here to
tell you what is actually taking place
as well
so these files are still synchronizing
as you can see right here
so we will check back again in just a
moment
when our file synchronization or I
should say our file backup
up the software folder is done
alright so are backup finished and as we
can see the
total runtime: on that backup job was 18
minutes and 49 seconds so it does take a
little bit longer
as recall I think that a crockett
personal around 12 minutes but that that
dynamically changes
as things going on so what else we see
appear
is on all the files that were backed up
if there were any areas that would be an
