Liquib and Scripts: Feels Like Real Painting!

Liquib and Scripts: Feels Like Real Painting!

I have been seriously doodling and learning to use Liquib "picture liquefying" application, and finally decided to record a script.

A script is a series of actions and effects that you can record in sequence while using them on a picture, and then save it to apply later to any other images.

The script was also recorded to video from inside the Liquib program (at about 4x faster).

You can download Liquib at http://www.whizical.com

I made this script using a free wallpaper image "Frozen Heart", that I had downloaded from Flikie Wallpapers - http:// www.flikie.com

Later on, I applied the script to three different picture types: an abstract digital painting I made with mixed media and The Gimp, an outdoors natural picture (slightly edited), and a zoomed area of a photo featuring my son and his wife. Finally, I just blotted primary colors plus black and white on a Paint canvas, just for a test.

The complete video recording of the script was done on the outdoors scenery. What is also interesting is that at any given stage of the script rendering, action can be stopped to save a particular view that you might like best and want to save for further post-processing.

Liquib (and Kaleider too!) are definitely highly worthy programs that should be in every digital graphic artist's toolbox!
