WebWatcher monitors almost everything including: * Emails (Both sent and received) * Instant Messages/Chats * Tracks all websites that are visited * Tracks all keystrokes typed on the computer * Takes screenshot pictures of the monitored computer so you can see graphics, etc.

WebWatcher is a well-rounded application that is capable of both monitoring and Internet filtering, and it has most of the features that you'd expect a serious monitoring application to contain. In addition to that, WebWatcher also offers industrial-grade invisibility. We dug in pretty deeply, and there was no visible trace of the software anywhere.

WebWatcher's interface is simple and easy to use, and even a computer novice should find that it only takes a few minutes to figure out how everything works. WebWatcher has a few advanced features that border on unnecessary, but for those that take the time to figure them out they're a nice addition. And since Web Watcher's interface is actually a website, searching through the recorded information for the juicy items is very easy. In fact, if you use their alert word system, you'll find that you can save a lot of time by reading just the emails and things that contain words that you are interested in. So, for instance, Web Watcher can display for you just emails that contain specific words, or just the Instant Message conversations with a certain person. It makes finding what you are looking for really easy.

There's another thing that WebWatcher can do that we haven't seen before. Believe it or not, WebWatcher allows you to monitor as many computers as you want regardless of whether or not they're on a network. This means that once you install the WebWatcher software, you can forget all about it and it will continue to monitor the computer regardless of where it goes. We tested this by putting the software on four laptops and a couple of desktop machines and taking the computers to a variety of different locations around town. We crusied to the couple of local coffee shops, a local library, and even brought them home, and to friends' houses to see this in action.

Amazingly, the software continued to record everything we did no matter where we took the computers. We could then monitor the activities of all four computers simply by logging into one website. You can see why this feature would be important to any employer that needed to monitor employees with laptops or who worked from several locations not connected to a network. This is one of the reasons that WebWatcher is used in schools and companies that need to monitor many computers while having a single reporting point that allows them to see every user's activity.

We do have some complaints about Web Watcher. The first is that while it allows you to see Peer to Peer use, it doesn't allow you to block Peer to Peer activity altogether. This is important if you're concerned about the illegal downloading of music files, and it's something we'd definitely like to see them add in a future release. Secondly, we'd like to see them beef up the blocking capabilities a little to fully flesh out their offering. We found definite room for improvement there.

Overall, however, WebWatcher really delivers and has clearly earned its position as our Reviewers' Choice. With remote access, a fantastic suite of monitoring tools, plus the ability to block websites, no matter what you're trying to do or who you're trying to monitor, you'll be glad to have this product on your side.

software and then it just starts
recording forever
it records until you take the time to

everything out you don't need to see
that my password and it brings you to
this part right here this is basically
like your back office gives you the
ability to set recording blocking
options i'm not going to get into that
mean it's pretty in-depth pretty detail
you can record i just saw how straight
the settings area right here when you go
to settings area how to really mess
around too much like I said I just got
it but you can like set what you want to
record emails I'm chats keystrokes
websites you want to block websites you
can set settings for that you want to
block programs in settings for that
smart camera allows you to take
screenshots you can set settings for
that how often you want to take

something is going down at the computer
you're going to find it then I don't
know what else to show you that I mean
it it's cut dry you get the software you
downloaded your computer it's completely
invisible you're going to see exactly

there's no ifs ands or buts about it
there's no way around it they can't

proof that you need to show your spouse
or significant other that they are

Messenger is open or trigger triggered
every five minutes it will take a
screenshot if that's what your
designated to do and that's amazing get
