I'm going to show you how to send
animated keynotes presentations to
iMovie now I have key notes opened up in
front of me so i'll go ahead and pick a
template
and i will change the master to a single
text
alright so for this video i'll go ahead
and just use my technique and double
click that and up here the third to the
last icon is called inspector you will
open that and then you have a variety of
icons here on top
go to the flying diamond which is a
third one and it says building inspector
and click build in now here it says none
but if you open up these arrows you get
a nice list of animations that you can
use i will go ahead and use bouncy for
the purposes of this video and you can
see Lisa patike bounce in
and we'll just use that i'm not going to
make this too long so you can create all
the slides with all the animations that
you want now from here you click file
and you have a choice if you just want
stills you can send to iphoto and then
drag them into iMovie the problem with
that is if you created any animations
it's not going to pull in the animation
so this is the way I do it go to export
and go to quicktime now I know what some
of you are thinking quicktime will not
open or import into iMovie so this is
how I get around that so you named your
movie i will need mine howto & export
and then this little export to quicktime
screen will open up and you'll see your
little movie being prepared and
converted into quicktime ok that was
quick
and then i convert it now i use prism
you need to convert your file because I
movie will not open a QuickTime file so
go to movie
here's my how-to
and I open that now right now the format
is . M ov or move or movie however you
want to say it but it's . mov I need to
convert that to an mp4 which is what i
use online movies mp4 and then you just
convert it
i use prism for my conversions there's a
variety of programs out there put that
someone I like to use ok and then you
open up your ib files been converted
and I have how to animate now up here in
iMovie click file import movies now you
can import from your camera or other
projects but for this video presentation
we're going to import movies and you'll
see the how-to and how to mp4 you'll
notice that how to will not allow me to
grab the video it won't let me important
into iMovie but if I converted it to mp4
it will let me pull it in so there it is
how to import
ok so it's been imported now the way you
find it down here click last import and
there she is so I just need to drag this
across and drag it up into the screen
and a little detail there's a little
square up here your little windows i'm
going to click fit because i wanted to
get all of the video click done
and down here you have your arrow and
let's see what I brought it
