MagicScore Maestro Tutorial on Creating Documents

Here you learn how easy it is to create a new document from scratch in MagicScore Maestro 8.

welcome to Magic score maestro eight
today we will show you how to create a
new document and specify its layout to
create a document press this button or
choose the command knew from the file
menu now we can enter the compositions
title
next we enter the composer's name
if we need to we can also create the
title page like this but right now we
won't need it
what should be kept though is the
instruments names let us now switch to
the next tab and start choosing the
instruments we will start with a flute
harpsichord
the strings
violin one violin - viola cello
contrabass then we need to move the
harpsichord to the very bottom of the
score
we will do that in the next tab
first let's
embo for this example we will set it at
100 will choose the two four time
signature
now we will add a quarter note pickup
switch to the minor keys and select be
minor
now move the harpsichord to the bottom
of the score highlighted with the mouse
and press the down arrow a few times
below the instrument list
now we will arrange the brackets
highlight the flute
press the small arrow to the right of
the word brace and choose a bracket then
we shorten the bracket of the strings
and divide them into three groups
to do this press the minus button to the
right of the bracket three times in the
right window we can immediately see the
result
now add a bracket for the viola and a
bracket for the cello group the cello
and the contrabass by pressing plus the
score is ready now but we will try to
find room for two systems instead of
only one per page in the Layout tab
change the rostrum from seven to five
this gives some more room but it is
still insufficient for the two systems
let's try to refine the scale will try
65-percent this works
now we have two systems on every score
page to finalize things we need to check
the proper paper size in the page tab
page size letter we leave it as it is
by pressing ok we finished creating the
document the score is now completely
ready for typesetting music in the next
video we will type set music with the pc
