How to Flush Automobile AC System - For fresh air in your car
Use Chemical Guys Air Fresheners and Odor Eliminators to kill odor-causing bacteria and germs for fresh, clean air for you and your family!
Automobile AC systems can stink! Over time, bacteria, mold, and mildew build up within AC systems and cause foul odors. Poor filter maintenance, smoking, and filthy outside air blow bad smells into your car. Normal air fresheners merely "cover" the problem, and bad smells are quick to return. Flush your AC system with any Chemical Guys Air Freshener and Odor Eliminator to kill bad smells at their source, and experience clean and crisp air in your car!

This is Greg right here in the Chemical Guys Detail Garage,
and today we're gonna show you how to eliminate
annoying AC odors.
If you ever had a car that had a smelly AC
system from
cigarette smoke, pet odor, or just nasty,
funky scents coming from the AC system,
you can easy eliminate that with our Chemical
Guys Air Fresheners & Odor Eliminators.
We're gonna give this Audi Q5 an AC flush
using our brand new New Car Scent.
We made this New Car Scent to smell exactly
like a brand new car.
So if you purchased a brand new car and you
love that original new car scent,
you can easily get that back to your car using
our New Car Scent.
We're gonna flush the AC system, and we're
gonna show you all the steps
to work on any car with an AC system.
The first thing you want to do is go ahead
and turn on the car and set up your AC.
You want to spray it through the AC system
to kill any bacteria,
and eliminate any odors throughout the system.
The first thing you want to do is turn your
car on.
All cars have different types of AC systems,
but we're gonna give you the steps that will
work on most cars,
and it'll give you a heads up to work on your
car as well.
First thing I like to do is set the temperature
on my AC to low.
I'll turn both the passenger and driver's
side down to the low setting.
Once our AC is on the low setting, that means
the AC compressor inside
the engine is working, and pumping cold air.
I'm also going to turn up my fan all the way
to high,
so right now we're on 1, I'll turn it up to
12, which is the max on this vehicle.
And I'm also going to turn it on recirculate.
Recirculate is the key step:
you want to recirculate the air as you flush
the system.
Now let's grab our New Car Scent.
Our New Car Scent has an air freshener and
odor eliminator
built inside of it.
It's not just going to place the new car scent
back into the vehicle,
it's gonna kill any bacteria and odor permanently.
So it's not gonna come back,
and your AC is gonna smell great along with
the whole car.
Now let's go down to the bottom of the car.
I like to spray my AC flushing fluid down
at the bottom,
right by the dash where it sucks up all the
recirculating air.
Take your new car scent, or any Chemical Guys
air freshener,
and spray it right down at the bottom.
We'll give three sprays right at the bottom.
Already through the AC vent, we're getting
that nice, fresh, new car smell!
It's starting to smell great and fresh again--exactly
like a new car!
We made this air freshener smell just right,
so when you get in the car,
it smells brand new.
If you want, you can also spray it on the
driver's side as well,
and you can spray it on different parts of
the carpet like under the seats
and the trunk to make the whole car smell
fresh and brand new.
Once the car has run with the AC for a little
bit, go ahead and turn off the AC,
so next time you get back in the car,
it smells like fresh AC.
So now you know exactly how to flush any AC
system in any car.
