PAD Submission Service
With a click of a button, Ivertech submits your software PAD file to 38 software listing sites.

To be eligible to purchase the PAD Submission Service, you will need to
sign up for a free account with us. Once you have an account with us,
you can log on to the Software Control Panel page.
Click on the "Add New Software" link to add your software to our site using your PAD file. It is
very important that you fill out the "PAD File URL" field for your software because this is the
field that our service uses to submit your PAD file to other software listing sites.
Once you have added your software, go back to the Software Control Panel
page and click on the PAD Submission Service link.
Click on the "Purchase Submission Service" button on top of the page. You can then make your purchase using your credit card or PayPal.
You can specify how many submissions to purchase in the Quantity field.
Once your purchase is completed, you will receive a confirmation email with an Activation Code in it.
Go back to the PAD Submission Service page and enter your Activation Code there.
After the Activation Code has been accepted, you will see a drop down box from which you can select the software to submit:
Select the software you wish to submit and click on the "Select..." button.
You will see a warning message asking you to validate your PAD file using Association of Shareware Professionals'
PAD Online Validator.
The PAD file URL that our service is going to use to submit to the software listing sites is also
displayed. This information is pulled from the "PAD File URL" field of your software. Here is how the
screen looks like:
If your PAD file contains invalid or obsolete information, the PAD validator will display the errors.
If your PAD file fails the validation, please make appropriate corrections to your PAD file and save
it back to the server where the PAD file is hosted.
It is recommended that you use the latest PAD Generator from Association of Shareware Professionals.
This will reduce the chance of your PAD file failing the validation.
If your PAD file passes the validation without any errors, you can click on the "Submit Now" button to start
your submission process. Here's how the screen looks like after you click on the "Submit Now" button:
By default, the screen refreshes itself every 4 seconds to show you the status of each submission. You can change the
refresh rate of the screen by selecting a different value in the drop down box. There are a few reasons
why your submission to certain sites might fail:
- The software listing site is down for maintenance when you submit your PAD file.
- The server where your PAD file is hosted might be down or it is not responding on time.
- Your PAD file contains invalid information that the software listing site cannot understand. (The PAD
Validator would have detected the invalid information if you used it to validate your PAD file before submission).
- Your PAD file might have been generated with an older version of PAD Generator and the software listing
site does not understand the older PAD specifications.
Do not panic when you see your submissions fail. It is OK to have failed submissions since different software listing
sites are following different submission standards and your PAD file might not conform to some of the standards that they
use. Just wait for the submission process for all software listing sites to complete and go back to each failed submission
and click on the "Resubmit" button. If your resubmission fails again, click on the software listing site link and
try submitting your PAD file manually. You will find out for sure why your submission process failed. You might have
an invalid software category in your PAD file that does not map to any of the available categories in the software listing
site's database. If that is the case, there will be a screen on the software listing site to prompt you to select an appropriate software
category.
If you find that one of the software listing sites is down you need to resubmit your PAD file the next day (after closing the browser),
you can get back to the same screen to resubmit your PAD file at the PAD Submission Service page:
Just click on the "View Results" button and you will be able to view the submission results and resubmit any failed
submissions if necessary. You can delete the submission results by clicking on the "Delete" button if the list gets
too long.
At this point, if you check your inbox of the contact email that you specified in the PAD file, you might get some
confirmation emails from the software listing sites telling you that they have received your PAD file and they will
process it within the next few days. Some sites process your software instantaneously while some sites don't.
Once your software has been listed, a link to your website will be created on the software listing sites and you should
see increase in Internet traffic to your site and more frequent download of your software (if you provide trial versions).
By having links to your site from different software listing sites, you also increase the chance of your site being
indexed by search engines like Google or Yahoo. It will eventually translate to more software sales.
