WinMount, Virtualize the Compressed Files into Drives

I believe many of you have numerous compressed packets (such as Zip and RAR) and various mirror files (such as ISO/cue/nrg) in your computer. Decompression of small sized packets may be bearable, but in case of big sized packets, such as 800M or 1G large, it not only takes long time, causes large CPU consumption, but also requires large disc space for storage. After use, you will again have to delete those files. What a complicated process! Let WinMount do it for you. You will no longer need to go through the troublesome procedure, all you need to do is to virtualize such compressed packets and mirror files into drives with WinMount!

Info: Language: English Version: 2.1 Size: 2641 KB Type: Application /compression and decompression System platform: 9x/2000/XP/2003/Vista

I. Software Overview It's easy to install WinMount on Vista, you just need to click "Next" all the way to complete installation. In the main interface, both "File" and "Mount" menus can virtualize compressed packets such as RAR, ZIP, 7Z, CAB or mirror files such as ISO, BIN, NRG, CUE, CCD into random drives. Such virtualized drives can be unmounted with "Unmount" command in the "Option" menu. On the toolbar there are four quick buttons: "Mount Archive", "Mount Image", "Mount Drive", which allow users to carry out quick operation. On the left of the central working area is the list of virtualized drives, as shown in picture 1. II. Features 1. Right click to mount/unmount Select the file or folder you want to virtualize and right click on it, and then select "Mount to new drive" under "WinMount" menu, WinMount will automatically search and create a logic drive and mount those files. Or you can click "Mount..." to select drive or path manually, as displayed in picture 2 In the Explorer you can find the newly created virtual drive, as shown in picture 3. To unmount the virtual drive, you just need to right click on the drive and select "UnMount". 2 Mount in main interface You can mount specified files with "Mount" or "Mount Drive" commands in the main interface or with separate command under "Mount" menu. Files in existing ten mirror file formats can be mounted into virtual drive with WinMount, as with other software such as DAEMON Tools and Alcohol 120%, shown in picture 4 and picture 5. To unmount single or all virtual drives, you can click "UnMount" or "UnMount all" on the toolbar Conclusion: 1. Compressing large number of files in same type, such as doc files, in one packet can not only save space but also facilitate management; moreover, those files can be directly opened and viewed with WinMount without decompression; 2. After mounting, compressed packets such as game and multimedia teaching software can be run or installed without decompression; 3. As a virtual drive tool, WinMount supports mounting mirror files in various formats for easy use. It also can be used to install large software such as Vista without any functional depreciation. 4. You can open, edit and save files in virtual drive form. When the drive is unmounted, the original files will not be rewrited, thus protecting the original files from virus and error deletion. 5. You can create an FAT32 virtual drive with WinMount, by copying files in process into the virtual drive, the system will execute much faster.
