Presentation Deployer for PowerPoint - What does it do?

Presentation Deployer was designed to overcome two key issues:

1: Currently PowerPoint 2010 does not include the PowerPoint Viewer when distributing your presentation/s to CD and only shows the User a presentation list for opening each presentation manually rather than automatically running the presentation/s. If the user does not have PowerPoint 2007 or above installed or a compatible viewer they are forced to download the PowerPoint 2010 Viewer from the internet which is a 65MB download before they can view your presentation.

2: With the range of PowerPoint Versions (typically 2003 - 2010) installed across different users and the subtle differences in the way in which presentations can run on various PowerPoint versions, it is difficult to know how your presentation is going to run when distributed. If the presentation includes PowerPoint2010 features and the user only has PowerPoint2007 the presentation will still run, but some unique PowerPoint 2010 features may not run as expected.

Presentation Deployer overcomes both these issues by including the PowerPoint 2010 Viewer installer on the CD. You are able to specify which version of PowerPoint you wish to target and whether you want to automatically run the presentation/s or show the user a presentation list if targeting PowerPoint 2010. Presentation Deployer will scan the clients computer for the desired PowerPoint version to use and if the version is not found will install the PowerPoint 2010 Viewer, then run the presentation.

Presentation Deployer will also monitor the internet for any updates to the Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Viewer and download any updates to make sure you always distribute the latest version.
