Your many possessions are probably worth thousands of dollars – to protect against loss, you’ve got insurance. But, if a loss should occur, you will need an accurate record of each item – how much did it cost, how much is it worth, and where was it located?
A home inventory application is a great idea – but, the time required to enter all of the information is excessive. You’ve accumulated hundreds of items! And once you’ve entered the data, it takes too long to search for and find each individual item. That’s the problem with most home inventory managers – they’re not designed to alleviate this burden.
Prophesy Personal Inventory Manager (PIM) is different. It was designed from the ground up to make it as easy as possible to enter information for, and find, each of your valuable items. And because XML is not a binary format, you can look at your data using any text editor.
